Joshua is a native Texan originally from the DFW Metroplex. He earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Utah in 2005. Josh then moved to Boston where he concurrently earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health degrees from Tufts School of Medicine and Northeastern School of Law. Josh is excited to return to Texas and is currently furthering his education by completing the requirements for an LL.M. degree in Health Law from the University of Houston.
Josh joined Kroger|Burrus having already accumulated a number of practical professional experiences in the fields of health law, public health law, and regulatory processes. While completing his degrees he served as a legal intern at The Office of the General Counsel for The United States Department of Health and Human Services; The Office of General Counsel at Partners Healthcare Inc.; The Health Care Division of The Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General; and served as a judicial extern at the Arizona Supreme Court.
While completing his JD and MPH degrees, Josh was a contributing member of the Northeastern University Law Journal, a volunteer at the Medical-Legal Partnership for children at The Floating Children’s Hospital at Tufts Medical Center, a volunteer at the Domestic Violence Institute at The Boston Medical Center, and worked as an independent contractor for The Massachusetts Department of Public Health and The Public Health Advocacy Institute.
Josh is licensed in Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Josh will be sitting for the Texas bar exam in February 2012 with Texas licensure expected in May of 2012. He is an active member of GHRSHM, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association, health law section.
Josh is currently assisting E. Dale Burrus in teaching Texas Medical Malpractice at the University of Houston. |
